I just mailed in my submission for my business license the other day. I am hoping that I can really start to use it as a resource and contact once I get everything in place. When things are finalized I will post the name. I also am taking some classes for free so I can start to get a much overdue website up for myself.
I am hoping to work and get some advice form some new designer friends. I am trying to get more involved so I can saturate myself with creative ideas and goals.

political compare and contrast
I have been torn between the democratic party and republican party. There are things I agree more on the democratic side but some things about the republican side I am in complete agreement on. I have a lot of democratic friends and this blog may stir up some talk but I have received numerous emails in strike against the republican side. I will foremost I DO NOT like Palin! (and Matt Damon expressed it well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6urw_PWHYk ) There are more negative things about her than positive. But I am not voting for her as president. Yes McCain, if elected president would be the oldest person to the office elected. I just want to feel like whatever decision I make will be a confident one. Of course we will not know for sure until which one is elected is in the office and see where they take this government.
Well the first off I will start with taxes. I guess I am a Republican on this topic. I have worked up in my job, went to school, earned good grades, earned multiple promotions, and have been able to acquire a steady job. I feel I have worked hard for money and I don't like the idea that just because you work hard and earn more money, more money should be taken from you.
I personally don't believe in welfare to the extent people are using it today. People abuse the system and in turn the people who are working and have steady jobs are paying for those who don't. Here are a couple link sources that show the difference of the tax plans for McCain and Obama.

It looks as though McCain creates more debt, but more financial opportunity for the economy to grow. As much as I would like people to succeed, I think giving them money does not encourage them to grow, prosper, and encourage success. I do not know too much about the tax issues but what I don't understand is why cant their be an even distribution along the board. Why are we segregating and apply things even across the board. I don't know what that would do to our economy but that is just my thought. Middle class it looks like is not effected as much form either party's. Obama wants nationwide health care, AWESOME? But where is the money coming from? McCain is giving more tax breaks to the wealthy, how do we know what they will spend it on in order to boos t the economy which is the point of McCain's plan. Questions and answers, then a decision to be had.

Again I stand on both spectrum's. I think we need to be more oil independent. By creating more independence and less reliability on foreign oil= better for the US government. I dont believe we should do as much as McCain is proposing. I think energy efficient cars are beneficial and both party's are in favor of this. But Obama has mentioned giving the American auto companies loans in order to produce more emission free cars. But even the auto industry stated that even with the loan Obama would want to implement would not be enough to meet the goal he desires. So therefore putting our government more into a deficit. I think creating more alternative energy sources is key while also creating oil independence.

Both candidates have some good plans. It reads "McCain wants to make college more affordable by supporting a big increase in Pell Grants that Congress approved for needy students in 2007. McCain also backed the expansion of low-interest loans for middle-class families who are struggling to keep up with college tuition increases."
One of Obama's ideas: "Obama would like to introduce a new tax credit to ensure that the first $4,000 of a college education is free for most students, in exchange for 100 hours of community service."
Those are just slivers of their plans.
I am still in debate with myself for both of these candidates. Too bad we cant just have them both in the office, duel it out in a room and have it be done with. If you have 2 people that don't like each other in a room long enough they will eventually come out being as civil as possible. What happened to the presidential candidates that think from all points of view and not just for democratic and Republican. I guess that this the government I, we live in.

Starting to track my mileage....which I should have been doing a long time ago. But it is great to start to see and feel my progress. Torrey Pines here I come...yeah right. lol

Thursday 9/4: 14.85 miles
Saturday 9/6: 10.95 miles
Sunday 9/7: 38.50 miles
Monday 9/8: 14.85 miles
Wednesday 9/11: 18.37 miles: fastest speed 22.2 mph...really not that fast but fast for me
Saturday 9/13: 41.48 miles: fastest speed 33mph (downhill of course) (included Torrey Pines!, 56 bike path, Rancho Santa Fe, and Del Mar)
Sunday 9/14: 14.85 miles
Wednesday 9/17: 18.37 miles: fastest speed 22.2 (pedaling)
Thursday 9/18: only about 7 miles: fastest speed: 25.2mph!!! (PEDALING) it was awesome!
Saturday 9/20: 46.5 miles: Point Loma to La Jolla Cove, back through Pacific Beach, Mission Beach to Seaport Village, then to Harbor Island drive, then Shleter Island and then back up to Point Loma via Canon St.
Sunday 9/21: 30.4 miles Carmel Valley Rd, took 56 bike path then to the end, headed towards Torrey Pines (and yes Torrey Pines in the last 12miles and the second time I have completed it...yowzers), then back through UCSD and back to Carmel Valley Rd.
Wednesday 9/24: 12.77 miles: fastest speed 25.6!!!...yup pedaling
Saturday 9/27: 54 miles: La Jolla Cove to Pacific coast Highway to Imperial Beach, back over to Coronado Silver Strand (took the ferry back over to downtown), downtown back to La Jolla via Mission Beach and Pacific Beach
Sunday 9/28: 27.5 miles: Mission Bay to Cabrillo National Monument, then back via Ocean Beach
